After a long hiatus, Bay Area, CA-based thrash metal band TRAUMA is back with their fourth studio album, and new music release, Awakening. The album was produced by long-time friend Juan Urteaga, who is well known for his works with Testament, Machine Head and Exodus. Additionally, the album is released on German metal label Massacre Records and distributed through Believe.
Awakening is much heavier and darker than the band's predecessor albums and features some of the thrash metal band's best work to date. With crushing riffs from Steve Robello and Joe Fraulob, pounding bass lines from Greg Christian, punishing drums from Kris Gustofson, all paralleled with the powerful vocals of Brian Allen, the album is sure to please long-time fans of the band as well as those who are new listeners.
