On March 10th, 2023, Trauma metal band release their official video for their new song "MEAT," which was produced by Mike Sloat and is on their 4th studio album 'Awakening' released late 2022 on Massacre Records.

The lyrics were written by former Trauma metal band front-man Donnie Hillier, who sadly had passed away a few years ago. The music was written by Joe Fraulob, who has recently left the band do to personal issues and has since been replaced by guitar prod Casey Trask as a temporary touring guitarist during the Queensryche Digital Noise Alliance Tour 2023.

The song reflects how humans are treated and herded as cattle, the abuses of humankind, and "all we are is Meat" to the filthy rich elites in society whom adversely suppress and destroy the lives of everyday people. It also provides hints of a near past when evil men were left to carry out horrible atrocities of death and destruction.

Trauma "Meat" Lyrics

On a farm Like Auschwitz There are cattle in mud pits Shit reeks like hell in the heat

We feed on each other We slave, cheat and smother Maybe all we are is Meat

Empty head rattle You hear the prattle The herd makes a meaningless noise

The masses don’t listen The money’s the mission They think that we’re only they’re toys

You think that they love you You’re naivete is so sweet See how they treat you I think you should know you’re just Meat

Meat Just Meat Just Meat Just Meat

The cattle are rolling The bullshit is flowing They round up into the freight train

They wait in trepidation, till they get into the station There’s a hammer bolt right to the brain You think that they love you Your naivete is so sweet See how they treat you They just want to eat you I think you should know you’re just Meat

Just another day to be a little scarred Nothing penetrates, not even torture in the yard

Yes it’s like they say that we are only animals

Got the seed to feed cuz we are all just cannibals

We feed on each other We lie, cheat and smother In their eyes all we are is Meat

We feed on each other We slave, cheat and smother Maybe all we are is Meat

You think that they love you Your naivete is so sweet See how they treat you They just want to eat you I think you should know you’re just Meat

Meat Just Meat Just Meat Just Meat Just Meat

Who is Trauma Heavy Metal?

Trauma metal band is highly revered by those in the know as an important evolutionary entity in the intersection of traditional heavy metal, the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, and the more melodically minded classic rock influenced bands on the Sunset Strip. This is one of the first thrash metal bands – responsible for the much sought after classic ‘80s album, ‘Scratch and Scream’ in 1984 (reissued in 2013) featuring killer cuts like “The Day All Hell Broke Loose” and “Lay Low.”

Three decades passed before the reconfigured band reemerged in support of a re-mastered edition of their debut and delivered ‘Rapture and Wrath’ in 2015, ‘As the World Dies’ in 2018, and ‘Awakening’ in 2022. Soaring melodies and fierce riffs collide in songs that are equal parts sharp, fierce, grandiose, and theatrical. Since their formation, they’ve assembled the strongest elements of seemingly disparate strains of metal, with passion and proficiency.
